THE STOCKLINGS
In July 2018 MAR / MÆR had a residency on Ärjä, an island outside Kajaani in Finland. The residency was part of the ecological art festival Ärjän Taidefestivali, arranged by VAARA collective, with works and practices gathered around ecological themes and climate change.
MAR / MÆR performed as part of VAARA in their immersive performance Ärjän Yö, that played out from sunset to sunrise. The Stocklings, a double self, played out their mimicry between the trees and walked the shallows waters of infinity.
